OK, so last night I had a great time watching the World Series. Now, I have always been just “OK” with pretty much any sports watching, but I really had a great time. Even better, I was watching with my father in law. We were giggling half the time and I just had a great time. Hmmm… maybe I just need the right male role model.
Thanks Pops!

OK, so there are many opinions about halloween and the question of should Christians celebrate it. I just think people are asking the wrong questions when it comes time to decide to celebrate or not. There are some more disturbing things about halloween than what most people think.
Take this sample for example.

Or this

Even worse

And then the creme de la creme

Hopefully, these images are enough (or too much). Don’t get me wrong. I love to dress up in Hooters girls clothes. Really. Is that enough of a reason for you to consider celebration of halloween?

I am a big fan of news aggregate software or readers for those of us who only speak shorthand. I have used many different ones and have yet to find the one for me. Sage has been good but it is only on computers that have it installed. I moved to Newshutch not long ago because I can access it from any computer and don’t have to input my list for each computer. There were some issues with some pages and I was getting a lot of repeat reads even after marking them read. So, recently I decided to try Google Reader. It isn’t any better looking than Newshutch in the way it looks. In fact, Newshutch is a little better in that you can put feeds in categories. What I realized, however, is that I have been missing posts from feeds. That is just messed up. I have missed feeds from various sites without having any knowledge of it. Just randomly missing posts! So while Google isn’t my favorite, at least it gets all the news to me.
Anyone have a good reader out there?
Edit: Nevermind, I just figured out how to make folders. Awesome!

So I was getting tired of the same old flat look of the site and decided to make some changes. Please feel free to chime in on your opinions on the new site and especially if you use IE7 (why would you do that?). My favorite upgrade feature is flickr sidebar.

One of my old favorite sites, Church Marketing Sucks, just helped me find one of my new favorite websites. This site is apparently a spoof of some show on television that I have never heard of. You have probably never heard of it either and that’s really OK. The point is that it is a cool site with funny stuff that you can use if you work for a church and are a bit off kilter. Enjoy!
