Groupthink: Professional Clergy? at Addison Road
Here is a great example of what I am talking about in process ministry. I’m not saying this is exactly it, but what a great idea.
I talked to a very smart guy the other day and bonced some of my ideas off him. He has an interesting take on church planting. Instead of putting a church planter in a position of having to succeed by reaching outcomes, put them in a place where they are fairly self sufficient until they reach certain mile-markers. Specifically, instead of setting a date for the first big service in the beginning, the date of the service is set by certain markers in the ministry, such as, critical mass of people.
