Candy-grams
24 02 2006 Let wonder replace worry: Youth Ministry Communication Idea OK, this qualifies for my best of award for creative communitcation. This guy who works with teens must be one of the most creative guys around. Intrigued yet? What’s the idea?
Well, you get this candy bar and put a label on it and mail it. Apparently you don’t even have to put it in a package or anything, just label it, stick a stamp on it, and a short message on the back if you want, and mail it. What a great idea. He says he does it for people who are having a hard time, or people he hasn’t seen in a while. I ask, “Why limit it at all?” Who needs an excuse to send a candy-gram?

Thanks Paul! So it just qualifies for the award? I was hoping to win! :)
I’m really glad you liked the idea. One detail I did not put in my post and I need to add is to make sure the weight of the candy bar is not too heavy for a regular stamp. I usually put the .60 stamps on and do not have a problem. The first time I sent one, the guys mom had to pay the mail man .24 cents before he would deliever it!
Good point. Have you tried to run one through the postage machine? Not pretty, I’ll tell you.
Hahaha, no I have never done that. I can see how it could make quite a mess though.
